THE HOTEL
Situated in the heart of Barcelona’s Eixample district the Cotton House Hotel represents class sophistication & character . Barcelona infused so many of the worlds best cities with the most stunning architecture and history to take you back centuries, this is a place full of amazing stories including that of the Cotton House hotel, it’s situated on the former headquarters of the cotton textile foundation and offers great views of the cities skyline including the famous landmark Sagrada Familia.
The Hotel is only a 1o minute walk from the popular Las Ramblas, Gothic Quarter & Sagrada Familia which is great to know.
The Room
The Cotton room, clean, fresh and nicely sized with great facilities. The hotel has high standards and you can be sure to receive regular cleaning visits & a turn down service, One of my favourite aspects of the room was the balcony view which over looked the hotels typical block patio of Barcelona. One evening we were lucky enough to experience the most insane thunder storm listening to music enjoying some drinks as the sky lit up. (I can’t guarantee this experience however I had to share, it was incredible).
Room Service
I am a huge fan of room service, I love to enjoy food in the comfort of my own room, I’m not sure why… never the less I managed to take the opportunity to try out the hotels service and it was second to none the staff where always there to help & never kept you waiting to long for your order. The quality of the food was certainly not compromised either. So a ten out of ten from me.
Roof Top Pool
Who wouldn’t want to join?
The roof top pool was one of my favourite parts to the hotel it was the perfect spot to catch some sun & you had the most incredible views across the city which I previously mentioned. I enjoyed coming early in the morning to enjoy my coffee a quick flick through GQ style & some fresh air ahead of my day.
Unwind in the Library
A soothing calm atmosphere creates the perfect conditions to just let your mind rest & recoup, I personally don’t even read books yet I was enjoying every moment of the hotels Library just being in this space and taking five made me feel completely relaxed.
Social Drinks at the Bar
The Cotton house offers a great bar and social space which switches from dinning to bar area elegantly. The hotel offers an amazing range of cocktails tailored to your taste and these can be enjoyed at the bar or whilst you dine in the traditional patio space. It was a great way to spend an evening or to enjoy a couple of drinks before heading out for the night.
My stay at The Cotton House was faultless & I will be sure to return in the future.
