City Break | London Edition

As we approach the bank holiday weekend here in the Uk I can’t help but wish I was setting off for a weekend away in the City, with endless opportunities to pass the time it seems a visit to London is the perfect little get away. I am by no means a well seasoned traveler & have many more places I would love to explore however I have listed a few Hotels I would highly recommened for anyone looking to take some well deserved time out.

Mondrian London at Sea Containers

Located on the banks of the river thames the Mondrian is home to the sea containers building, with a touch of 1920s cruise ship influence and sophisticated designs by Tom Dixon the hotel offers a unique experience and breathtaking architecture.

The Agua Bathhouse & spa is a must visit at the hotel the relaxation area is insane, it’s glamorous, tranquil & will have you relaxing with a smile from ear to ear. There is also a gym which is sufficient for both weight & cardio based training. After a day out shopping or simply exploring the Spa you must check out the hotels rooftop bar (Rumpus room) which hosts huge glass windows & a terrace balcony offering panoramic views of London, quite a way to enjoy a glass of bubbly or a cocktail or two. A very nice way to spend a weekend away. My top pick, for more on the Mondrian

The Sanderson

Situated in the west end The Sanderson is a state of the art hotel where all the cool kids go. After you check in you will probably take a selfie on the big red lips at reception before being taken to your room by the concierge, as you enter the galactic lift you will be in your element, well at least I was. The rooms, clean & refreshing, simply two words I would use to describe my first impressions, what more could you ask for, O and the room service is pretty good they do a mean burger & club sandwich.  However a focal point at the hotel has to be the 80ft glowing onyx long bar, you can pretty much order any cocktail that ever existed and it is very luxurious, just how The Sanderson like it. The hotel also has a Agua spa so expect a dreamy ambiance and high caliber service. For more on the Sanderson

The Dorchester

An Iconic Luxury hotel located in Mayfair London, The Dorchester has built a solid name for itself attracting celebrities, Royalty & high society, This hotel is the epitome of timeless glamour.

Award winning afternoon Tea & the only hotel restaurant in the UK to be awarded three Michelin stars will support the reason why so many choose the Dorchester as there London hot spot. Alongside the wining & dinning the hotel often has a breathtaking row of high performance cars lined up outside which for us car lovers makes the experience that little more special, it’s not every day you see a Bugatti, Ferrari, Bentley, Aston & Rolls Royce parked up side by side.

Moving on to the hotel rooms, I would say the focal point has to be the Marble bathrooms, they are incredible & I have been inspired for future bathroom design plans at my own home. I must also add the beds are a pleasure to sleep in which has to be one of the most important factors during a nights stay, so a big thumbs up for comfort. Lastly the Spa Lydia & myself enjoyed a full body aromatherapy massage to help us unwind & relax, the treatment was great & therapist were lovely. The spa is stunning & spending time in the relaxation room after your treatment with a glass of cucumber and rose infused water was just a dream. For more on the Dorchester
