“A daily routine is built on good habits and discipline separates the most successful among us from everyone else. The routine is exceptionally powerful.”
Speaking to people lately I’ve noticed a few things that seem really common at the moment, one is that people are really tired and two is that people’s diaries are getting packed out at the moment as we all return to socialising and a slightly more normal life that we recognise.
Having been starved of much social contact for so long its been more than understandable that we’ve all looked to pack out our diaries with things as we rush to experience what we’ve missed so much.
However (and maybe I am speaking for myself here but possibly it’s the case for some of you as well) I’ve found that things have felt a little all over the place, a little rushed and a little chaotic.
I think I’ve got used to the extra time that I’ve had this last year and a half or so and as a result I’ve lost some of the things in my daily routine that help me to structure a good work/life balance.
Routines are so helpful and that daily routine really helps you get a grasp of everything. If I get my daily routine right I feel like I can do more…almost like there are two or three of me. Without it I feel like I’m swamped and not sure where to start.
As we get back to our busy lives, for me the daily routine is going to be key to making things tick over nicely and to creating that work/life balance. I would love to hear if you have any rituals or routines that you implement to keep your life balance on track.
